Jennifer R. Howell is a Florida Bar Board Certified Elder Law attorney. She won "Best Attorney" in the 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Charlotte Sun Readers Choice Awards. She focuses her practice on elder law, estate planning, probate and trust administration. She works with clients in navigating the complexities of Medicare and Medicaid coverage, tax issues, in-home care, powers of attorney and medical directives. Mrs. Howell also assists clients through estate planning by preparing wills, establishing trusts and handling probate. Mrs. Howell is currently serving on the Board of Trustees for Charlotte Academy. Mrs. Howell has served as the President of the Charlotte County Estate and Tax Planning Council, the Charlotte County Bar Association and Leadership Charlotte. Mrs. Howell has served on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer's Association, Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. She also serves as the Charlotte County Representative for the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Both are non-profit organizations that aid lawyers and others who work with elderly clients.Mrs. Howell received her Juris Doctor degree (1997), cum laude, and Bachelor of Arts degree (1995), with honors, from Stetson University.
